# Can I change the CookBook app icon?

| **Quick answer:**

**iOS:** Yes, you can choose **Light**, **Dark**, or **System default** in the app.

**Android:** The icon follows your device theme automatically. If your system is in light mode, you’ll see the light icon; if dark mode, you’ll see the dark icon.

# iOS

1. Tap the **Side menu ☰**.
2. Select **Settings**.
3. Scroll to the **Appearance** section.
4. Tap **App icon**.
5. Choose one of three options:

    * **Light** – white background with coloured logo.
    * **Dark** – dark background for OLED/night themes.
    * **System** – icon follows your device’s current light/dark mode.

The new icon replaces the old one instantly on your home screen and in the app switcher. Want to revert? Repeat the steps and pick a different option anytime.

# Android

On Android, CookBook uses your device’s display theme automatically:

1. **Light mode** → light app icon
2. **Dark mode** → dark app icon

There’s no in-app setting to override this. To change the CookBook icon, change your device’s display theme.
