# Can I turn my CookBook recipes into a printed physical cookbook?

| **Quick answer:** CookBook itself won’t lay out or print a physical book, but you can export every recipe as PDFs and design or print a cookbook on your computer or through a printing service.

CookBook is for storing your recipes on your app and creating your own digital personal CookBook, not as a physical cookbook creation tool. However you can export your recipes as below.

### Export to PDF and print

1. **Side menu ☰ → Settings → Backup / Export recipes.**
2. Choose **PDF**. CookBook generates a ZIP with one PDF per recipe.
3. Unzip the file on your computer and drop the PDFs into a word-processor or photo-book service (Apple Books, Canva, Blurb, etc.).
4. Add titles, photos, or a table of contents, then print or order a bound copy.

### Things to keep in mind

* **Images** link back to CookBook’s servers. Make sure your design software pulls them in before you delete any recipes or close your account.
* **Copyright:** Only print recipes you own or have permission to reproduce. For public web recipes, credit the original source and keep it for personal use.
