# How do I add a tag to a recipe?

| **Quick answer:** Open the recipe’s editor, under Meta, dropdown and tap **Update tags**, or use the **Tags** screen to bulk-assign a tag to many recipes at once.

# Add a tag to a single recipe

1. Open the recipe you want to edit.
2. Tap the **Edit** icon under the recipe title, or in the top-right corner.
3. Scroll to the **Tags** field and tap **Update tags**.
4. Tap the dropdown:

    * Pick an existing tag, **or** tap **Update tags** to make a new one.
5. Creating a new tag:

    * Tap the **+** in the top-right corner, type your tag name (emojis welcome ⭐❤️), then tap **Create**.
6. Tap **Confirm** to apply the tag.
7. Tap **Save** icon at the bottom (or top-right) to finish.

# Add a tag to multiple recipes (bulk)

1. Open **Tags** from the dashboard, side menu, or Recipes tab.
2. Tap the tag you want to add to recipes.
3. Tap the coloured **Edit** icon in the bottom-right corner.
4. Select every recipe you want to link to this tag.
5. Tap **Confirm** - all selected recipes now carry the tag.
