# How do I delete my CookBook account?

| **Quick answer:** Deleting your CookBook account is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you cancel any active subscription first, then follow the steps below to remove your account.

# Important before you start

* **Deletion is permanent** - All recipes and data will be erased.
* **Subscriptions are not cancelled automatically** - If you’re on a paid plan, cancel the subscription first.

# Delete your account

1. Tap the Side menu (☰).
2. Tap on your Username
3. Tap Manage & update account
4. Tap Delete your account (warning message will appear).
5. Type delete to confirm deletion.
6. Tap Okay. Your account is now removed.
