# How do I use and manage my Regular Items grocery list?

| **Quick answer:** Regular Items is a reusable list for staples you buy often. You can tick what you need and copy those items into your active shopping list in seconds.

# Regular Items vs standard shopping lists

CookBook has two types of grocery lists:

**Regular Items**  
A permanent list for weekly or monthly staples like milk, eggs, rice, or cleaning supplies. You can reuse it every time you shop.

**Standard shopping lists**  
Your active grocery lists. You can create and manage up to 9 standard shopping lists.

# Add items to your Regular Items list

1. Tap **Groceries** in the bottom navigation bar.
2. Tap the **List icon** in the top right to view all lists.
3. Open **Regular Items**.
4. Tap the **+ shopping button** at the bottom.
5. Select **From text**.
6. Type the items you want to store.
7. Tap **Confirm**.

# Add items to Regular Items from another list

1. Tap an item in any shopping list to edit it.
2. Tap **Add to Regular Items** in the top right.
3. The item is now saved in your Regular Items list.

# Edit items and change aisles

1. Tap the **Edit icon** at the end of an item.
2. Edit the quantity, measure, or ingredient name.
3. Tap the **Aisle button** to move it to a different aisle.
4. Tap **Save**.

To change aisles for multiple items:

1. Tick the items.
2. Tap the **More menu**.
3. Select **Move items to aisle** and choose an aisle.

# Delete items

1. Swipe an item and tap **Delete**, or
2. Tick one or more items.
3. Tap the **More menu**.
4. Select **Delete selected**.

# Merged items

Merged items appear with a merge icon.

To unmerge a single item:

1. Tap the **Edit icon**.
2. Tap **Split**.

To manage multiple merged items:

1. Tick the items.
2. Tap the **More menu**.
3. Select **Unmerge items** or **Allow merge** to re-enable merging.

# Copy items to another shopping list

1. Tick one or more items.
2. Tap the **More menu**.
3. Select **Copy to list**.
4. Choose the destination list and tap **Copy**.
