# How to import recipes from Facebook

| **Quick answer:** On any Facebook post, tap **Share → More… → CookBook**. Choose **Save to CookBook** to store it instantly or **Edit recipe** to tweak tags, notes, or nutrition first. CookBook pulls the recipe from the caption - or follows any link in the post if the caption is empty.

# How to import from Facebook (step-by-step)

1. Find a recipe on Facebook you'd like to import
2. Tap the **Share** button
3. Swipe the app icons to the end and tap **More..**
4. Pick **CookBook** in the app list.

5. Choose:
    * **Save to CookBook:** Saves the recipe immediately without opening the CookBook app.
    * **Edit recipe:** opens CookBook so you can add tags, change servings, or upload photos before saving.

# Quick tips

* **Caption first:** Works best when the full recipe is written in the post caption or a first comment.
* **No caption?** CookBook looks for a website link in the post and tries to import from there.
* **Copy-link fallback:** Copy the video URL → open CookBook → tap **Paste** on the dashboard → **Confirm**.
