# How to import recipes from Pinterest

| **Quick answer:** Open the Pin, tap **Share → More apps… → CookBook**, then choose **Save to CookBook** or **Edit recipe**. CookBook follows the link behind the Pin and imports the recipe from its original website.

# How to import from Pinterest (step-by-step)

1. Find a recipe on Pinterest you'd like to import
2. Tap the **Share** button
3. Swipe the app icons to the end and tap **More apps..**
4. Pick **CookBook** in the app list.

5. Choose:
    * **Save to CookBook:** Saves the recipe immediately without opening the CookBook app.
    * **Edit recipe:** opens CookBook so you can add tags, change servings, or upload photos before saving.

* Pins usually point to a blog or recipe site - CookBook grabs the full recipe from that page.
* If the link is broken, copy the Pin’s URL and paste it into CookBook’s dashboard; the importer will still try to fetch the recipe.
