# How to import recipes from Reddit

| **Quick answer:** Open the Reddit post, tap **Share → More… → CookBook**, then choose **Save** or **Edit recipe**. CookBook pulls the recipe from the post text or any linked site.

# Import a recipe from Reddit

1. Open the Reddit post that contains the recipe.
2. Tap **Share**
3. Tap **More…**.
4. Choose **CookBook** from the list of apps.

5. Select one:
    * **Save to CookBook** – saves instantly without opening the app.
    * **Edit recipe** – opens CookBook so you can adjust tags, notes, etc. before saving.

# Quick tips for better results

* **Post first:** Imports work best when the full recipe is written in the post text or a top-level comment.
* If no text recipe is found, CookBook follows any link in the post and tries to import from that page.
* **Copy-link fallback:** Copy the post URL → open CookBook → tap **Paste** on the dashboard → **Confirm**.
