# How to share and import a recipe from Safari on iOS

| **Quick answer:** In Safari, open the recipe page, tap **Share → CookBook → Save to CookBook** (or **Edit recipe**). If CookBook isn’t in the share sheet, add it once and it will stay there for future imports.

# Import a recipe from Safari (step-by-step)

1. **Open Safari** on your iPhone or iPad and go to the recipe you’d like to import.
2. Tap the **Share** icon in the bottom toolbar
3. Scroll through the apps and select **CookBook**.
    * Don’t see CookBook? Follow the steps [here](https://help.cookbookmanager.com/en/article/how-to-add-cookbook-to-your-ios-share-sheet-3ltzbe/) to add it to your share sheet.
4. Choose either:
    * **Save to CookBook:** Saves the recipe immediately without opening the CookBook app.
    * **Edit recipe:** opens CookBook so you can add tags, change servings, or upload photos before saving.
