# What will sync across my devices?

| **Quick answer:** Everything that matters - recipes, tags, planner entries, shopping lists, and most settings are stored in CookBook’s encrypted cloud and automatically appears on every device you sign in with.

# Items that sync

* **All recipe data** – ingredients, steps, photos, nutrition, notes, ratings
* **Recent recipes & favourites** – your history and ⭐ marks
* **Tags** – names, images, assigned recipes
* **Site links** – any URLs you’ve saved for quick import
* **Meal planner** – day, week, and month slots plus macro totals
* **Shopping lists** – items, aisle sorting, strike-offs, Instacart status
* **Key settings** – unit & fraction/decimal preference, language

### How to force a manual sync

If something looks out of date:

1. Open the **Side menu ☰**.
2. Tap **Sync device**.
3. Wait a few seconds - the spinner disappears when the latest data is downloaded.
