CookBook’s manual recipe scanner limits you to five photos at a time. This FAQ explains why the limit exists and provides tips for handling more than five images if needed.
We've opted for a max of 5 pages as you should never need more than this to capture all areas of a recipe page.
The majority of recipes can be imported from a single photo, to do this ensure you take a well lit birds-eye photo of the entire recipe page.
When highlighting your recipe sections, you can zoom in on your photo by pinching the photo in/out and dragging it around the screen.
Depending on the quality of the image, the recipe scanner can read text from a full page photo very well. This quality depends on other factors such as lighting, shadows, flatness of the page, etc. so try to be mindful of these factors when taking the photo of your recipe.
