How to:
- Copy the recipe URL that you'd like to add to your CookBook on your device
- Open the CookBook App
- CookBook will detect that you have a URL copied and will ask if you'd like to add that recipe to your CookBook
- Hit 'Import' if you want to add it or either 'Cancel' or 'Clear clipboard' if you do not wish CookBook to read and import from the copied URL
- Add your own recipe personalisation such as tags and ratings then hit 'Save'
Adjusting clipboard permissions:
There are various clipboard reading permissions you can adjust, turn on and off.
To completely turn off clipboard reading in CookBook:
- Open the side menu in CookBook
- Scroll down and tap on Settings
- Scroll down until you see 'Allow clipboard reader' and select 'Do not read'
Note: This will prevent CookBook from detecting when you have a recipe link copied
To manage pasting in Apple iOS:
- Go into your device settings app
- Scroll down and tap on CookBook
- Tap on 'Paste from Other Apps' and select one of the following
- Ask - Apple will always ask if you want CookBook to read your clipboard when it requests to
- Deny - Apple will not allow CookBook to read your clipboard
- Allow - Apple will allow CookBook to read your clipboard and will only prompt to import if it detects that a URL has been copied.
To manage pasting in Android:
- Go into your device settings app
- Tapp on 'Security & privacy'
- Tap on 'Privacy' then 'Permission controls'
- To turn off the notification that an app has access to your clipboard by tapping on the slider for 'Show clipboard access'. Note, this will not turn off the actual clipboard access, just the notification.
