Quick answer: Yes. In Settings you’ll find a System text sizes toggle. When it’s On, CookBook follows the font size you’ve set in iOS or Android. Turn it Off and a Custom text sizes slider appears, move it from 0.8 × to 1.5 × to shrink or enlarge every screen inside the app.
Where to find it
- Tap Side menu ☰ → Settings.
- Scroll to Font & accessibility (or General on some versions).
- Toggle System text sizes On or Off.
- If Off, adjust the Custom text sizes slider until the preview feels comfortable.
How it works
- System text sizes - On
- CookBook mirrors the Dynamic Type size (iOS) or Font Size setting (Android) you’ve chosen at the OS level.
- Change the size in your phone’s accessibility settings and CookBook updates automatically.
- System text sizes - Off
- A Custom text sizes slider appears.
- Drag left or right to pick anything from 0.8 × (20 % smaller) up to 1.5 × (50 % larger).
- The entire UI - recipes, buttons, shopping lists, planner, all resizes instantly, no app restart needed.
Switch back anytime: toggling System text sizes On hides the custom slider and restores the device’s default fonts.
Tips
- If buttons look crowded after enlarging text, try reducing your text size slightly.
- Turning the toggle back on immediately reverts to OS-controlled sizing - handy if you change your system setting often.
