How do I import recipes from ReciMe into CookBook?

Quick answer: Recime does not currently offer a built-in export feature. To move your recipes to CookBook, you can request an export from Recime, use CookBook’s CSV bulk import, or import recipes individually using our web app and browser extension.

About importing from ReciMe

ReciMe does not provide a self-service way to export your recipes. Your recipes are still yours, but moving them requires one of the methods below.

CookBook supports importing recipes from many sources and formats, and we are always happy to help you migrate your collection. We believe you should never feel locked into one app.

Option 1: Ask ReciMe for an export (best for large libraries)

Try contacting Recime support directly.

  1. Contact ReciMe and request an export of your recipes.

  2. If they provide a file or data, download CookBook’s CSV import template.

  3. Add your recipe information to the CSV file.

  4. Email the completed file to team@cookbookmanager.com with your CookBook username or email.

  5. Our team will bulk import your recipes for you.

This is the fastest option if you have a large recipe collection.

Option 2: Import recipes using the Chrome browser extension

If your recipes are accessible in the ReciMe web app:

  1. Open the ReciMe web app in Google Chrome.

  2. Install the CookBook Chrome browser extension.

  3. Login to the CookBook Web App.

  4. Open a recipe in ReciMe.

  5. Click the CookBook extension icon to import the recipe.

  6. Review and save it to your CookBook account.

This works well for importing recipes one by one while browsing.

Option 3: Copy and paste into CookBook

For smaller collections or individual recipes:

  1. Open a recipe in ReciMe.

  2. Copy the recipe text.

  3. Open CookBook and tap Paste from the quick actions or Add → Text or Paste.

  4. Review the scan and save.

CookBook will structure the recipe and let you edit, tag, and organise it immediately.
