Quick answer: Yes! CookBook’s smart shopping lists pull ingredients from your planned meals (or individual recipes), sorts them by aisle, and syncs instantly across all your devices. You can even send the list straight to Instacart in the US & Canada.
What you can do with shopping lists
- Auto-aisle sorting – ingredients drop into categories like Fruit & Veg, Dairy, Meat, etc.
- Select / deselect all – include everything from a meal or cherry-pick items.
- Add custom items – type “foil” or “toothpaste” and they’re sorted just like ingredients.
- Strike-off as you shop – tap an item to check it off; tap again to un-check.
- Jump to recipe – tap on any ingredient to open its info, source & recipe.
- Instacart integration – one tap sends the list to Instacart for delivery (US & Canada).
- Multiple lists – keep a General Items list plus up to 9 additional custom lists.
- Sync everywhere – updates appear in real time on iOS, Android and the Web App.
Where to find it
- Open CookBook and tap Groceries in the bottom bar or left panel
- From the Planner – tap the 🛒 basket icon (top-left) to generate a list from scheduled meals.
