Quick answer: Regular Items is a reusable list for staples you buy often. You can tick what you need and copy those items into your active shopping list in seconds.
Regular Items vs standard shopping lists
CookBook has two types of grocery lists:
Regular Items
A permanent list for weekly or monthly staples like milk, eggs, rice, or cleaning supplies. You can reuse it every time you shop.
Standard shopping lists
Your active grocery lists. You can create and manage up to 9 standard shopping lists.
Add items to your Regular Items list
Tap Groceries in the bottom navigation bar.
Tap the List icon in the top right to view all lists.
Open Regular Items.
Tap the + shopping button at the bottom.
Select From text.
Type the items you want to store.
Tap Confirm.
Add items to Regular Items from another list
Tap an item in any shopping list to edit it.
Tap Add to Regular Items in the top right.
The item is now saved in your Regular Items list.
Edit items and change aisles
Tap the Edit icon at the end of an item.
Edit the quantity, measure, or ingredient name.
Tap the Aisle button to move it to a different aisle.
Tap Save.
To change aisles for multiple items:
Tick the items.
Tap the More menu.
Select Move items to aisle and choose an aisle.
Delete items
Swipe an item and tap Delete, or
Tick one or more items.
Tap the More menu.
Select Delete selected.
Merged items
Merged items appear with a merge icon.
To unmerge a single item:
Tap the Edit icon.
Tap Split.
To manage multiple merged items:
Tick the items.
Tap the More menu.
Select Unmerge items or Allow merge to re-enable merging.
Copy items to another shopping list
Tick one or more items.
Tap the More menu.
Select Copy to list.
Choose the destination list and tap Copy.
