Quick answer: If auto-renew is ON, your plan continues with no interruption. If you’ve cancelled auto-renew, the plan ends on its renewal date and your account drops to the free tier - allowing you to open only your 20 most-recent recipes and two shopping lists until you resubscribe.
Will my plan renew automatically?
- Yes - if you left auto-renew active in the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe billing portal.
- No - if you cancelled auto-renew at least 24 hours before the renewal date; your subscription simply ends.
What happens if my paid subscription expires?
- Account status switches to free.
- Recipes – only the 20 newest recipes stay viewable; older ones become locked.
- Shopping lists – you keep the General Items list and your most-recent custom list; extra lists are locked.
- Imports and edits – blocked until you choose a new plan.
Tip: To show your newest recipes, open Recipes → Filter → Sort by → Created (newest).
How to resubscribe
- Open Side menu ☰ → Username → Plans.
- Tap Choose plan and select monthly (starts billing immediately) or yearly (includes a 14-day trial).
- Confirm in the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe checkout. All locked content unlocks instantly.
Exporting your data
You can always export every recipe - paid or free - via Side menu → Settings → Export.
