How do I change my CookBook password, username, or email?
Open Side menu ☰ → Username → Manage & update account. From there you can edit your password, username, or email and tap Save.

How do I reset my CookBook password?
On the login screen tap Lost your password? and we’ll email you a reset link. If you registered with Apple or Google single-sign-on, use the same Apple/Google button instead of a password reset. You can also choose Sign in by email code to log in without a password.

Deleting your CookBook account is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you cancel any active subscription first, then follow the steps below to remove your account.

What happens when I reach the free limits?
The free tier lets you store 20 recipes, run 20 smart imports, and create 2 shopping lists. When you hit any limit or when a paid subscription expires, CookBook switches to read-only mode for everything above those limits until you choose a new plan.

How can I purchase CookBook as a gift?
App stores don’t allow gifting app subscriptions directly. You can gift CookBook using an Apple or Google Play gift card, or by setting up a CookBook account in advance and transferring it to the recipient. There are a couple of important limitations explained below.

How to cancel your free trial
You can cancel anytime during your free trial in your App Store or Google Play settings, there’s no need to contact us. Cancelling before the trial ends will stop any charges.

Will my CookBook subscription renew automatically?
Yes. Whether you subscribed through the App Store, Google Play or Stripe (web checkout), your plan renews automatically, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period (or free-trial period) ends.

Open Side menu ☰ → Username → Manage Plan, then tap the Manage plan button. CookBook sends you to Apple, Google Play, or Stripe - whichever service you used to subscribe, where you can edit your card or billing info.

What happens when my current subscription expires?
If auto-renew is ON, your plan continues with no interruption. If you’ve cancelled auto-renew, the plan ends on its renewal date and your account drops to the free tier - allowing you to open only your 20 most-recent recipes and two shopping lists until you resubscribe.
