If you’re moving from an app we don’t directly support, you may still be able to transfer your recipes using our CSV template with help from an AI tool such as ChatGPT or Claude.

ReciMe does not currently offer a built-in export feature. To move your recipes to CookBook, you can request an export from ReciMe, use CookBook’s linked CSV bulk import template, or import recipes individually using our web app and browser extension.

Yes. Snap or upload a picture, give it a title, tap Save and fill in the ingredients and instructions whenever you have time.

You can import recipes from a PDF by scanning it in CookBook. Use Automatic for the quickest results, or Manual if you want more control. Manual mode lets you scan up to 5 PDF pages into a single recipe.

You can add headers in two ways, either with the Add header button or by using Bulk edit and colons : to format groups.

What do I do if an ingredient has no quantity?
Enter 0 for the amount (e.g., “0 salt and pepper, to taste”). CookBook hides the zero after you save, but the ingredient still works with scaling and unit conversions.

How do I automatically calculate nutritional information?
Open a recipe, tap Edit, scroll to the Nutrition section, then tap Calculate nutrition. CookBook will estimate the nutritional values based on the ingredients in your recipe.
